Wrinkle Relaxers are treatments that relax the wrinkles and fine lines on the face. Wrinkles form as a result of reduced levels of collagen in the skin or increased skin laxity are common to mature skin. Wrinkles begin forming in 20’s and 30’s and can be a result of repetitive expressions, smoking, and sun damage. The medicaton is absorbed by the nerves in the face and block the transmission of muscle-moving transmitters. We like to explain this as numbing or relaxing of facial nerves, which ultimately prevent certain muscles from movement or contracting and preventing worsening or formation of new wrinkles.
