Filler Dissolving

Unhappy with previous filler results? Hyaluronic acid fillers can be safely dissolved to correct migration, lumps, or asymmetry. Results are often seen within a few days, with full resolution typically within 1–2 weeks.

How To Prepare

Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil supplements for 7 days before your appointment. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior. Come with a clean face — no makeup on the treatment area. Let your provider know about any medications or supplements you take.

What To Expect During Treatment

Your provider will cleanse the area and apply a topical numbing cream for comfort (most fillers also contain lidocaine). Using a fine needle or cannula, the filler is precisely injected into targeted areas. You’ll be able to see results immediately. The entire treatment typically takes 15–45 minutes depending on the areas treated.

What To Expect After Treatment

Mild swelling, redness, and tenderness at injection sites are normal and typically resolve within 2–5 days. Some bruising may occur. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and don’t touch or massage the treated areas unless instructed. Results are immediate and continue to improve as swelling subsides, lasting 6–18 months depending on the product and area.
